Jennifer Breslin

Profile: Jennifer Breslin is the Founder and Director of Futuristas, a non-profit focused on better linking STEM and Society through inter-disciplinary youth educational programming and building more responsive and inclusive STEM ecosystems. She is the former lead of the UN Women Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) portfolio and worked for 20 years in the UN system on facets of STI (frameworks, policy, and programming). Her current and most recent projects include: research and strategy work on AI and Gender for UNESCO and a consultancy firm; Gender and STEM initiatives with the National Girls Collaborative Project and the Association of Science and Technology Centers; creation of a Ethics, Public Interest, Community and Civics (EPICC) in STEM initiative dedicated to youth programming; development of the youth strategy for the Biomimicry Institute and judging the Biomimicry Youth Design Challenge; building an immersive and collaborative space education project called Model Mars; and Member of the Space4Women initiative and the Generation Equality Technology Action Coalition. Jennifer received her BA from UC Berkeley and her MA from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. She is dedicated to supporting young women in their STEM related interests, careers and to discovering the transformative possibilities of space!
