Support to the Space4Women programme facilitates capacity building, awareness raising, network development, and projects that enable to achive the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 5: Gender Equality.

The United Nations General Assembly Resolution on international cooperation in the peaceful uses of outer space welcomes, in this regard, the activities being carried out by Space4Women to promote gender equality and the increased role of women in space activities, including through targeted capacity-building and technical advisory activities, and efforts to encourage enhanced involvement of women and girls in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education, and invites Member States to make voluntary contributions to those activities.
