Profile: Kristine Bantay is a Senior Science Research Specialist at the Philippine Space Agency where she currently works on marine and coastal research projects. Previously, she has done research work at the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology and the Marine Science Institute at the University of the Philippines.

Aside from Earth Observation, she is also interested in biodiversity and conservation efforts. She bikes to work whenever she can to reduce her carbon footprint. She hopes to become an effective science communicator to encourage more Filipinos to care about the environment.
