Profile: Ms. Aisha Jagirani is currently working as the Director General of the Department of External Relations and Legal Affairs at Asia Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO). She is responsible for legal matters, space law and policy, international cooperation in space, Member States relations, membership expansion of APSCO and representation of APSCO at international level.

Ms. Aisha Jagirani has 14 years of experience in the fields of international cooperation in space, space education and awareness, and space law & policy. Before joining APSCO, she was working with the Government of Pakistan at the National Space Agency of Pakistan in the capacity of General Manager (International Cooperation and Space Law). She was also the project in charge for Space Education and Awareness Program in Pakistan from 2011 to 2014.

She holds a a degree of Master of Science of Law (Space Technology Applications), Masters degree in Public Administration and is pursuing PhD degree in Intranational Affairs and Diplomacy. She has presented number of papers at international and UN level related to international cooperation in space and role of intergovernmental organizations in space. She has also authored a book on space for kids, titled “One Small Step”.
