Profile: Alexandra Jercaianu has seven years of professional experience working within the European and global space and satellite sectors, and a background in international relations and European affairs. A youth empowerment advocate, she was elected as Regional Coordinator for Europe at the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) from June 2018 to June 2022 and has recently joined SGAC's Diversity and Gender Equality Project Group. A passionate communicator, she also frequently undertakes public speaking roles focused on promoting the benefits of space for society and economic development. Alexandra holds degrees from the Paris School of International Affairs (SciencesPo) and Romania’s National School of Political Studies & Public Administration. She is also a recipient of the International Astronautical Federation's 2019 Emerging Space Leaders Recognition Programme.
