Profile: Dr. Omowumi Alabi is the Head of the Academic Programs at the United Nations affiliated African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Nigeria, where she trains graduate African students on the applications of satellite data. A passionate educator with over 30-years of experience of teaching STEM to students at different academic levels, she is also actively involved in education outreach to promote the interest of girls in space science. Dr. Alabi holds a PhD (Geosciences, Physics, and Curriculum & Instruction) from University of Missouri-Kansas City, USA. She also has MS (Physics) and BS (Engineering Physics) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.
